Prevention is everything: Cognis places enormous value on achieving maximum safety in its facilities. Great emphasis is assigned to the constant update and careful implementation of specified codes of practice.

All safety matters within the group are handled by a small but effective panel of experts supported by the technology teams and a network of specialists at the individual sites. When it comes to particularly important areas, special technology teams are appointed who are then responsible for the safe application of technology at all Cognis sites. The Cognis safety management regularly seeks the good offices of highly qualified experts who then input their specialist know-how for the development of optimum solutions.

“Our work is never so urgent or important that there is not enough time to do the work safely” – Cognis employees throughout the world are committed to this principle. And their high level of safety awareness is reflected in the downward trend in accident indices. The ultimate target: zero incidents.
